La Spia ' The Spy' is located in the Sassella DOCG sub-region. The name La Spia has ancient origins: During the Grigioni domination the rocky outcrop was a strategic viewpoint over the valley below.
The Rigamonti family took over the property in 1962. Today La Spia spans 4.5 hectares scattered throughout the Valtellina area, producing over 25,000 bottles a year.
