Two new wines from Sicilian producer Baglio Oro get our tick as the best value Italian wines currently in our portfolio.
Each is a blend of three varieties:
‘Vulari Bianco’ is a blend of Catarratto, Grecanico and Inzolia; ‘Tali Rosso’ a blend of Nero d’Avola, Syrah and Frappato.
Both wines see only stainless steel rather than oak; both are fresh, fruit driven wines that are well balanced and elegantBaglio Oro is a well established producer based in Marsala, the very western point of Sicily.
With a history dating back to the 1950’s, a serious facelift in 2004 has led to the emergence of the modern era Baglio Oro
And the recent return to Marsala of Baglio Oro’s new ‘commercial manager’ Stefano Ruggirello has seen further significant changes, including the introduction of their new range: Vulari Bianco and Tali Rosso.
Stefano’s objective is for Baglio Oro to make an impact globally based on quality and value.
